Hi! My name is Evan Pence! I am the creator and organizer of the SKFFL. I was born in Seattle, grew up in the Redmond/Kirkland area, and moved to the Olympic Hills neighborhood of north Seattle in 2013.
The SKFFL is my passion project (it's not a business) and it combines my two favorite hobbies: playing football and making movies. Each game has it's own story and it's fun to film it and be able to watch it later as well as show it to friends and family! As long as you show up and play as well as ref a few of the other team's games, it's free, and everyone has a blast!!!
I've been organizing pickup games of two-hand touch and flag football
since I was a teenager. It is my happy place!
This league is a creation from using all my experience from the last 29+ years. We don't reserve a particular field because we have figured out where and when public turf fields are open (your tax dollars at work!). We sometimes use cameras and a few players from a non-playing team for accountability in getting the call as right as possible, eliminating arguments and frustration!
Technology to the rescue!
I have two kids, a 8 year old daughter and an 12 year old son. I coached their flag football teams during the pandemic in the 2021-2023 seasons of the NFL Flag League and we all had a great time!
